It could"]t happen twice in a season could it? But this was certainly the case when the City supporters were treated to yet another ten goal feast at St.James Park against visiting Fulham. City once again won the match the hard way giving Fulham a two goal start, before hitting back to lead 3-2 at the interval. Fulham equalised, City took over again and led 5-3. Fulham pulled another goal back, before Mickey Ross capped a tremendous perfor- mance by notching his third goal of the night to make the final score 6-4. The other City goals came from Ronnie Robinson, Scott Daniels and almost inevitably Ronnie Jepson, whilst the Fulham men on target were Julian Hails, Sean Farrell, Jeff Eckhardt and Gary Brazil. The attendance was 2,919 went away ringing the praises of a truly entertaining goal feast.
City team: Kenny Veysey, Jason Minett, Ronnie Robinson, Danny Bailey, Scott Daniels, Peter Whiston, Stuart Storer, Russell Coughlin, Ronnie Jepson, Mickey Ross, Steve Wigley.
Fulham team: Jim Stannard, Jeff Eckhardt, Robbie Herrera (Peter Baah), Martin Feney, Terry Angus, Glen Thomas, Julian Hails, Udo Onwere (Lee Tierling), Sean Farrell, Gary Brazil, Ara Bedrossian.
Fulham supporters interviewed on BBC Radio Devon describe Exeter City as a friendly club to visit and how they enjoy coming to St.James Park. Their only grumble was the lack of cover at the St. James Road end. One suspects that they were not too pleased with the result of the game either!
