Peter Whiston's (photo) first goal of the season earned Exeter City a point in a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient. He fired the Grecians into a 29th minute lead, only for Orient's Mark Cooper to equalise four minutes later. Describing his goal, Whiston said; "I just closed my eyes and hit it!" Leading goalscorer Ronnie Jepson misses the game through injury. The result pushed Exeter into ninth posi- tion in the Second Division league table.
