Exeter City earn an excellent point at Wrexham, and with a little more luck could have from the come away from Racecourse Ground with all three. Despite going a goal down in the 53rd minute to a Gary Bennett strike, City equalise just four minutes later through Nicky Morgan. Loan signing David Llewellyn makes his debut for the Grecians, as does trainee Jon Richardson who replaces Toby Redwood in the final minutes of the game for a taste of first team action. This was a much more encouraging display from the Grecians than in the latter few matches, which even prompts Wrexham manager Brian Flynn to say he was relieved to hear the final whistle as City pressed forward in search of the win- ning goal. Grecians Manager Terry Cooper added; "This was the best 90 minutes we have played since I returned to the club.

EXETER CITY: Peter Fox, David Llewellyn, Toby Redwood (Jon Richardson), Mark Cooper (Jason Minett), Mark Brown, Mickey Ross, Stuart Storer, Russell Coughlin, Robbie Turner, Nicky Morgan, Mark Gavin.

  • The City 'A' team continue their march towards retaining the Devon and Exeter Premier League champi- onship with a 3-1 win at Feniton. They are assisted however by two own goals, plus another goal from Anthony Thirlby.
