Exeter City gain their third away victory of the season as they win 2-0 at Fulham. Jason Minett opens the scoring with a bizarre goal in the first minute, his free kick from way out on the touch line near the half way line, floating over the head of Fulham keeper Jim Stannard. Mark Cooper added a second goal from the penalty spot following a foul on David Mehew. Despite the sending off of goalkeeper Kenny Veysey the City hold out, and still create the odd opening for themselves.

FULHAM: Stannard, Morgan, Pike, Eckhardt, Angus (Milson), Herrera, Tierling, Ferney (Bedrossian), Hayworth, Brazil, Marshall.

EXETER CITY: Kenny Veysey, Andy Llewellyn, Jason Minett, Mark Cooper, Scott Daniels, Anthony Thirlby (Allen McKnight), Stuart Storer, Danny Bailey, Robbie Turner, David Mehew, Martin Phillips.

  • The City 'A' team crash out of the Devon and Exeter Premier League Cup semi-final with a shock 1-0 home defeat at the hands of St.Martins.
