Rotherham United (a)

The Grecians slip to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Rotherham United, and virtually condemn themselves to relegation. Mathematically it is still possible to escape the drop, but very unlikely. Everton manager Mike Walker was at the game watching City winger Martin Phillips, who unfortunately does not have one of his bet- ter days, although it is later revealed he was not fully fit suffering from tonsilitis. The nearest City get to scoring against Rotherham is a Mark Cooper drive which rebounds off an upright.

EXETER CITY: Kenny Veysey, Andy Llewellyn, Jason Minett, Mark Cooper, Scott Daniels, Anthony Thirlby, Stuart Storer, Danny Bailey, Robbie Turner, David Mehew, Martin Philips

  • A few behind the scenes changes are announced, as Exeter City make an all out effort to attract sponsorship and additional commercial income next season. Commercial Manager Steve Birley, by far the club's most successful, is to deal with all marketing aspects of the club, and Tony Kellow is to play a bigger role on the commercial side.
  • Exeter City Football Club are to attend the Devon County Show on May 19th, 20th, and 21st to further promote the club.
