After two itss than satisfactory performances, City stunned Argyle by taking a 2-0 lead by the interval. Mark Came bundled the ball in from close range in the second minute, and Paul Buckle met a far post cross from Lee Bradbury for number two. Argyle fought back strongly in the second half to score twice through lan Baird. This had been an excellent performance by the Grecians who played good football and created several chances.
