BBC match report –

Hull City threw away a two-goal lead as Exeter battled back to grab a surprise 2-2 draw at the Kingston Communications Stadium.

Peter Taylor's men looked to be comfortably heading for a second consecutive victory after Stuart Elliott scored twice in the space of seven second-half minutes.

He opened the scoring with a header from Stuart Green's free-kick after 61 minutes and then doubled the lead with a low left-foot shot.

But Exeter hit back immediately when substitute Scott Partridge bundled the ball in after Hull goalkeeper Paul Musselwhite dropped his first effort after 68 minutes.

Exeter substitute Graeme Power was dismissed in the closing stages for a professional foul on Lawrie Dudfield.

But the 10 men kept battling and snatched a share of the spoils in injury time when Steve Flack scored with an overhead kick from Scott Hiley's free-kick.

It was a valuable point for struggling Exeter but a blow for Hull in their bid to reach the play-offs.
