BBC match report –
Exeter came from a goal behind to earn an important point in the draw at Scunthorpe United.
The Iron started the stronger of the two sides and their pressure eventually paid off when Cliff Byrne's free-kick was flicked on by Steve Torpey for Martin Carruthers to drive home after 28 minutes.
Grecians goalkeeper Kevin Miller (photo) then kept Exeter in the game with two excellent saves, firstly turning over a shot from Ian Kilford and then pushing a firm drive from Matt Sparrow around the post.
But the second half was a different story as the visitors forced into Scunthorpe into making numerous unforced errors.
And Exeter were eventually rewarded for their perseverance when Sean Devine's left-footed strike in the 74th minute was enough to leave Glanford Park with a share of the spoils.
