BBC match report –

Boston picked up only their second away win of the season in the victory over lowly Exeter.

The opening goal came just before the interval when Exeter goalkeeper Kevin Miller came to the very edge of his area and was forced to head clear amid a defensive mix-up.

The ball went straight to Boston's Neil Redfearn who, seeing Miller off his line, quickly rifled a 20-yard shot into the net.

Exeter's finishing let them down and they paid the penalty at the death when Stuart Douglas escaped to get Boston's second in the closing stages.

Douglas seized on Patrick McCarthy's pass and his right-foot shot gave Miller no chance to wrap up the points for the visitors.

Exeter: Miller, Power, Whitbread, Gaia, Hiley, Pettefer, Cronin, Thomas, Walker, Goodman, Devine.

Subs: Fraser, Ampadu, Roscoe, McConnell, Todd.

Boston Utd: Bastock, McCarthy, Hocking, Balmer, Chapman, Simon Weatherstone, Bennett, Redfearn, Gould, Logan, Duffield.
Subs: Conroy, Ellender, George, Town, Douglas.

Referee: M Warren (W Midlands)
