Lee McEvilly scored two goals to help Accrington see off Exeter.

The Lancashire club raced into a ninth-minute lead when McEvilly converted from an acute angle.

Exeter hit back with a goal from Jake Edwards who made no mistake from close range after a delightful whipped cross from Sean Divine. The hosts dominated possession but were hit by a sucker-punch on 57 minutes when McEvilly hit a well-struck effort from the edge of the penalty area.
