Match 53
16th April 2005
Crawley T (a)

Crawley 0-1 Exeter

Gareth Sheldon scored the only goal of the match in first-half stoppage time to keep Exeter in the hunt for a play-off place.

Sheldon, who was twice denied by the woodwork, rifled home from 12 yards following an Alex Jeannin free-kick. Steve Flack twice headed over as Crawley's faint promotion hopes were finally extinguished. Exeter were reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes left when Marcus Martin was sent off for foul and abusive language.
