Match Report
Struggling Lincoln were denied a late victory as they were held to a goalless draw by Exeter.
The Imps looked out of form in the opening 45 minutes but perked up after the break and could have broken the deadlock 10 minutes from time.
Former Northern Ireland international Kingsley Black fired over a great cross from the left and substitute Steve Holmes rose above the Exeter defence only to see his header strike the crossbar.
That was one of the few chances created by Lincoln on a day when Exeter had much the better of things. Andy Roscoe was denied by an early point-blank save by Lincoln keeper Alan Marriott.
Marriott saved his team again in stoppage-time with a great diving save to take the ball off the feet of Exeter striker Christian Roberts.
Roberts got away again seconds later but was hustled off the ball by defender Paul Morgan and Lincoln escaped.
