Exeter City 0 Leyton Orient 0.

Friday, 23 November, 2001,
Exeter 0-0 Leyton Orient

Mid-table Exeter and Leyton Orient played out a dour goalless draw at St James' Park. Both sides had chances to win the game but failed to take them in a largely forgettable match. The home side enjoyed the better of the first half and skipper Chris Curran twice went close with powerful headers.

But after the interval, it was the visitors who held sway. Orient's Jeff Minton was just wide with a scorching 25- yard effort and Javo Ibehre also went agonisingly close for the east Londoners.
