Match report

Relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers edged closer to safety with a draw against Exeter.

Garry Thompson's team have now gone 10 games without a win but they produced an improved display without ever seriously troubling Exeter goalkeeper Arjan van Heusden.

The visitors stepped up their game in the second half and almost forced own goals from Steve Foster and Lewis Hogg.

And Steve Flack lobbed over the crossbar when clean through in stoppage time.

In a physical contest, Rovers midfielder Simon Bryant limped off following a crunching challenge.
