Mill Road is the modest home to Barnstaple Town F.C, with a maximum capacity of 5,000, despite its record attendance being 6,200 against Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic in the First Round of the FA Cup in 1954.

City have only ever played Barnstaple Town once, on 14th November 1959, where City hosted, and won 4-0.
