Matilda Franchi played for the Exeter City WFC  reserves in 2022/23 and continued to play in 2023/24.  

Matilda made her first team debut against Cardiff City LFC in a top of the table clash on the 5th February 2023, and scored her first Senior goal in the FA Women's National League against Selsey at home on the 21st January 2024. On the 31st March 2024 Matilda  made a first FA Women's National League start, finishing the game with a goal and 3 assists. 

In November 2024 Matilda Franchi joined Bridgwater United on loan until February.

"Steve Perkins' side currently sit eighth in the National League Division One South West and feature several former Grecians in their lineup, including Manfy Sharpe and Connie Pengelly."

A regular in City's development team, Matilda has made one appearance in the first team this season, scoring against Portishead Town in the League Cup. Exeter City WFC said "We are grateful to have relationships with clubs like Bridgwater that help us offer such opportunities to our players."
