Exeter City Ladies played their second pre season friendly with an impressive
5-0 win over Frome Ladies. After an initial slow start which saw Frome hit the cross bar after a fine save from new signing Sarah Bell, Exeter began to dominate by playing some neat football.

After creating several chances City broke the Deadlock, after a perfect through ball from debutant Kellie Hall (photo) to Jo Goldsworthy on the right hand side. Goldsworthy whipped in a stunning shot from 20 yards into the top left hand corner. Soon after this it was matched with an impressive debut goal for new signing Danielle Pearson, a bullet of a header from a corner which no one could have stopped. City continued to dominate and were again rewarded with another fine goal from Goldsworthy almost a replica of her first.

In the second half City again had several chances to increase their lead which resulted in a Superb solo effort. After picking the ball up 35 yards out debutant Rachael Edwards ran at pace and scored a fine one on one from the edge of the area. From then on it was all one way traffic resulting in Goldsworthy completing her hat-trick, with a good turn and low strike to beat the goalkeeper.

The Coach Steve Mclear said "This was a good all round team performance. Our football in parts was excellent. Everybody worked as a unit, with our passing and movement was especially pleasing. The players commitment and spirit was second to none. It was especially encouraging that all four new signings fitted in very well, and played a large part to the win".
