This replay brought back happy memories for me, I actually played for Exeter in this match, the game finished as 2 - 2 draw, at one stage of the game Exeter were leading by 2 - 0 unfortunately while an Exeter defender was off the field receiving attention for an injury, Plymouth took advantage of Exeter only having 10 players on the field, scored Two quick goals. The first match, played week earlier at Home Park had also ended as a 2 - 2 draw, this game was played during terrible weather conditions, Gale force winds & heavy rain. I have a photograph which was taken during a goalmouth incident, which was published in the Western Morning News Paper. I remember, that we had to change into playing kit, in Old Double Decker Bus due to the club changing rooms had been badly damaged during WW11
