Goalkeeper

Dan Layer, a goalkeeper from Plymouth, signed for Exeter City as a scholar/trainee after finishing school in 2023. He had been with the club’s academy since the under-10 category.

He first sat on the bench for the under-18s during 2021/22 as an under-15s player and later started to play in Youth Alliance games as an under-16 during the early months of 2023.

Starting his scholarship in July 2023, Dan played in both of City's FA Youth Cup games during the 2023/24 season.
