Santino Ohanaka, an attacking midfielder or wide player from London, signed for Exeter City as a scholar/trainee after finishing school in 2023. He had formerly been part of Tottenham Hotspur’s programme.
Initially identified playing for Onside Academy he had started playing as an under-16 category player for Exeter City’s under-18s in the Youth Alliance during the early months of 2023. Arriving at St James' Park on a full-time basis in the summer, he appeared against Crediton United in the Devon St Luke's Bowl in September 2023 and was later an unused substitute against Arsenal under-21 in the EFL Trophy before playing as a starter in the FA Youth Cup game at Hemel Hempstead in November 2023.
Moving into his second full-time season with the club, Santino appeared in first-team pre-season friendlies starting with the game against Tiverton Town on 9 July 2024 and later scored against Yeovil Town whilst continuing to feature for the under-18s in both the league and FA Youth Cup.
