Tom was an Exeter College student who played for Exeter City under-21s against Newport County on 25 April 2017.

From 2019 Tom worked as a coach with the Exeter City Community Trust and later combined this with coaching Tiverton Town under-18s.

From leaving college in 2017, Tom has also coached Feniton Youth's teams on a voluntary basis and was a regular member of Feniton's first team in the Devon League during 2022/23.
