Ivor Gillard joined Exeter City in late March 1964. He was only 17 and had already scored 70 goals for Holsworthy in the 63/64 season. He played his 1st game for the reserves at Bideford on Good Friday- 27th March 1964. Closely followed by his 2nd game Western League match at home to Frome the following day.
