Stan Anslow Millwall's rightback was taken to hospital with a suspected broken right leg in the 35th minute, he was injured in stopping a goal that looked certain from Wilson, his tackle stopping, the City right winger, had he not been injured City would have had a huge first win of the season, instead of a highly pleasing victory that they did haveUntil Anslow's injury Millwall were constantly beaten by on form City. It was Churms who gave City a 15th minute lead with an oblique drive after a Robinson-Simpson move, but after Anslow went off Millwall roled up their sleeves and it was City who had the look of an out of position depleted team. Never though did Millwall look anywhere near as dangerous as had City and in the 70th minute City made sure of victory.
