Biographical Text

Brad Young played for Exeter City as a triallist in the friendly at Tiverton Town on 7 July 2023 but did not re-appear for the club and later signed for The New Saints in the Cymru Premier before moving to Saudi Arabia a year later.

Having joined Aston Villa as scholar/trainee in 2019 - and later the victim of a serious knife attack - he played in the club’s 2021 FA Youth Cup success (alongside former Exeter City player Ben Chrisene) and made one first-team substitute appearance against Liverpool in the FA Cup in January 2021. Subsequently spending time on loan with Carlisle United and Ayr United, Brad was released by Villa in the summer of 2023 and, after having a short trial with the Grecians, signed for Welsh club The New Saints. Enjoying considerable success during the 2023/24 campaign he then appeared for TNS in the qualifying stages of the Champions League during July 2024 before helping the club reach the group stage of the European Conference League.

With the next set of European fixtures yet to commence, Brad signed for Saudi Arabian club Al-Orobah for a £190,000 fee in September 2024.
