John Sullivan was a pupil at Ladysmith School
when he was signed as an apprentice in the Summer of 1966.

"Exeter City manager Ellis Stuttard has signed two schoolboys today. They are both from the Ladysmith School, Alan Whitfield 15, inside forward, and John Sullivan 14, wing half or centre half, Both are expected to be offered apprentice terms when they leave school, Whitfield leaves next Easter whilst Sullivan leaves in the Summer."
