Feniton United (h)

Exeter City Ladies FC v Feniton United:

30th November 2008

Report by Tamsin Braund

City dominated from the outset and gave Feniton what can only be described as a good thrashing. Within twenty minutes Feniton were regretting their decision to turn up, as City found themselves 6-0 ahead with two goals from Kirsty Caunter, two from Hannah Cox and one each from Kerry Hurley and Gabby Stoneman. This advantage could quite easily have been higher were it not for several squandered chances that were put wide. By half time City had extended their lead to 12-0 with a further goal from Caunter, two a piece from Cox and Siobhan Aslett (in photo) and a first of the half from cente midfielder Naomi Wilkins

The second half started at a slower pace but saw City net an additional eight goats before the final whistle Both Wilkins and Caunter found the back of the net twice, with a goal each from Stoneman and Aslett. City's centre half Jade Maryan decided to add her name to the score sheet, collecting the ball from goalkeeper Rosie McGuire and dribbling it the full length of the pitch before netting the ball in the bottom right corner. To add insult to injury Feniton decided to assist City with their onslaught when one of their defenders sliced the ball into her own net from a Kerry Hurley corner to complete the scoring 20-0 to City and conclude a very bad day at the office for Feniton!

Final Score
Exeter LFC 20-0 Feniton United.
