Guilio Marroni appeared in the first-team friendly against Weston-super-Mare in July 2023 having recently joined the academy on a trial basis from Crystal Palace after spending a year as a scholar/trainee with the London club. Featuring regularly for the under-18s at the start of 2023/24, he was a member of the City team that faced Crediton United in the Devon St Luke's Bowl in September 2023 and was also a starter in both of the club's FA Youth Cup games in the 2023/24 season.
