At a meeting of the Exmouth (Exeter Cty Supporters Club only seven members tumed up. There were no charmat, no vice-chairman and no uncretary. The Club now found itself in a ridiculous situation and unless they could find officers very won they would be unable to carry on was feit that if the meeting wai an example of the interest of Exmouth people had it Exeter City, then there seemed very ittle hope that the Club would ndeed carry on. It was decided that the Supporter Club coach would run for the very last time for the Brighton game at Sk James Park. A coach had been organised to games for Exmouth fans for the past nine seasons, but this was now to be stopped as as average of only 14 supporters had been using it.

The story was that Keith Harvey would not play in the same team as goalkeeper George Hunter or Ted Calland because of a feud started by a fight which allegedly took place and spread to other members of the team at Exeter St David.
