Yeovil 1-2 Exeter LFC 

STRUGGLING Exeter City recorded a vital 2-1 victory over rock-bottom South West Combination League out- fit Yeovil Town on Sunday.

Steve McLear's side opened up a nine point gap between themselves and winless Yeovil thanks to second half goals from debutant Emma Jones and Emma Redwood.

City had trailed 1-0 at half-time but, playing with the wind after the break, they turned the game round and kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation.

Exeter's win means they close the gap on third-bottom Newton Abbot to just two points. City also have two games in hand on their Devon rivals.
