Season Summary
2006/07

In late January the press reported that:- "The Exeter City Ladies team is riding high at the top of Devon League 2 in their first season. They have won all of their games and conceded only 1 goal. Providing that they maintain their level of commitment, promotion looks a certainty. Their next big test will be a League Cup quarter-final on 4th February. Regular reports on their games can be found in the Sunday Independent and the Express & Echo."

A Word from the Captain

"Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the girls for their hard work and dedication to the team this season, each and every one of our players deserves to be playing here today. It has been an honour for me to captain such a committed, successful and confident side This season we have been at the top of our league from the beginning, gaining in confidence with every game. We have had extremely hard opposition in getting to the final of this cup and have caused some upsets long the way, by doing this we have taken the name Exeter City back to the top. As the captain I am hungrier then ever for the team to be successful and achieve the league and cup double this season. Each and every player will give 110% tonight, being as competitive as we always are against opponents. We are looking forward to tonight's game with all the enthusiasm we can to achieve a successful outcome. The girls and I would like to say a big thank you to our manager Steve McLear for his i hard work in putting together such a talented and successful team and his support throughout the season - without a successful manger we would not be in the position we are in today."
