AFC Clevedon LFC 0  Elmore Eagles 8

Despite producing some of their best football of the season against their unbeaten visitors Clevedon exited the League Cup at the first hurdle. Under strength Clevedon were more than a match for Elmore during the opening exchanges and they were unfortunate not to go ahead on 16 minutes when Liz Jordon fired just wide after Emma Filby and Karen Mason had combined well to set up the chance. On the half hour Liz saw a shot saved by the 'keeper's legs but almost immediately the visitors went ahead against the run of play. Two further goals before the break and another five minutes into the second period put the result beyond doubt and the game came to a premature end when keeper Emma Filby sustained a serious ankle injury which necessitated a trip to hospital.
