Elmore Eagles
Elmore Eagles were formed in 1995, in their first season following their formation (95/96) they finished in 3rd place in the South West 3rd Division. The next season (96/97) they took the 3rd Division Title by piping their closest rivals Bath on goal difference. They also beat Bath in the 3rd Div Cup Final by 2 goals to one.
Also that season they were narrowly beaten by Plymouth (now Saltash) 1-0, in the Pat Sowden Cup Final, Plymouth were two divisions above them, they did extract their revenge though by beating Plymouth in the Devon County Cup final 3-1.
Elmorte were automatically promoted to the Premier Div when the League had to expand their top flight in 97/98, and they have always been able to compete with the best in that Div.
