Exeter Ladies we're without goalkeeper Brenda Frayne for the testing trip to Frome in the Women's Western League. Mandy Bowen, a very able replacement with some goal- keeping experience, stood in and Sue Yelland came in at left back. Leading scorer Annie Hesketh scored all four goals in Exeter Ladies FC's scrappy 4-1 win. She scored a first half half trick and added a penalty in the second half of a game Exeter dominated. They had plenty of possession but didn't use that advantage to take a poor Frome side apart in the way they have punished other weak sides this season. Stand-in goalkeeper Mandy Bowen was rarely troubled and did herself credit by saving a first half penalty.
