1939

It is doubtful if the Southend supporters have ever seen their team so outplayed this season as they were during the first hour of the match at the Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Exeter won 1-0.

1963
Exeter City Reserves,at St James's Park, beat Glastonbury by 3 goals to none, all scored by Graham Rees.

1974
It would not be objective to report that the most exciting incident in this patch was when Brian Joy and George Hamstead, the Bury left winger, were involved in a clash more worthy of all in wrestling. The match ended 0-0.

1981
Exeter Ladies reached the final of the Pat Sowden Trophy with a 2-1 win against Barry.
The goals were scored by Turner and Thomas.

2004

Amos Foyewa's left-foot winner from Raphael Nade's cross nine minutes from time dented Exeter's play-off hopes. Exeter went ahead after just four minutes when Gareth Sheldon drilled a right-foot shot into the bottom left corner of the net from eight yards. But Luke Cornwall equalised for Woking12 minutes into the second half with a low left-foot drive from 25 yards.

2008
In a nail biting end to the season, and having just dropped out of the play-off places, a 2-1 home win over Northwich Victoria put City back in the last spot. Richard Logan gets a brace.
