FA Cup 1st round embarassment for city losing 2-1 and Heroham. at Walton
1989
History almost repeats itself as city can only draw with non league Dartford 1-1. A Darran Rowbotham penalty secures a replay. For once though, we managed to escape from non league territory with a draw, but we had a lot to thank the now displaced Dave Walter for. He was outstanding in the second half as the Beazer Homes League outfit strove forward for the win they probably deserved on the balance of play.
