TOWN'S unbeaten run came to an end in a scrappy game against lowly Exeter, despite the presence of ten goal strike force Alli Wright and Jo Sole playing together again.

Lisa Perry went close after ten minutes while at the other end 'keeper Sue Quinn had to be at her best to turn a fierce shot round for a comer.

Alli Wright had a goal bound shot deflected for a comer by a defender and another fine move ended with Jo Sole seeing her shot well saved. just before the break the home side took the lead with a well taken goal from a comer.

Exeter scored twice early in the second half and from then on Sue Quinn was busy keeping the score within reasonable propor- tions. Town's goal came two minutes from time when Lisa Perry was on hand to tuck the ball home after Yvette Stephen- son, in her first match, had had a shot parried by the 'keeper.

Liz Nicholson was Town's best player, giving a sound dis play at full back.

Town hope to progress into the semi final of the Second Division Cup when they take on Taunton Parceline at the Hand Stadium on Sunday, k o 200 pm. A chance for the side to retum to form after their title hopes have been dented and a few positional changes could well be on the cards.
