CUP WINNERS:
Exeter Rangers won the South West Ladies Division 2 Cup when they beat Swansea City 4-2 after extra-time at Clevedon. The score was 2-2 at the end of normal time with Maxine Badock and Anita Carroll scoring for Rangers, who were loaned kit by Exeter City. Badcock won the game for Rangers by completing her hat-trick in the second period of extra-time.

Swansea ladies soccer team failed in their bid to complete the league and cup double, losing out to Exeter in the final of the Division Two Cup.
The Swans got a flying start after only five minutes with Leanne Bowen looping a shot from 20 yards into the net over the stranded keeper, but Swansea's lead was short lived as Exeter equalised within 60 seconds through Anita Carroll after the Swanses defence failed to clear a corner. Swansea went ahead once more after 20 minutes with arguably the best goal of the match following a five woman move which led to Bowen's cross being fired home by Dawn Knuszka at the far post. From there on Exeter began to establish themselves and they put increasing pressure on the Swansea side but it still took a scrappy effort from Maxine Badcock five minutes before half-time for them to equalise.
Wendy Wood's saves and a crucial goal-line clearance from Karen Davies forced the game into extra-time. Exeter finally broke the deadlock two minutes into extra time. Alison Bater was caught in possession by Badcock who beat Wood from an acute angle. From there on Swansea battled in vain to get back into the match and Emma Jason could have equalised just before the end of the first period of extra time but saw her lob drop agonisingly wide of the right-hand post. Exeter increased their lead with eight minutes of extra time remaining with a superb 20 yard free kick from Badcock to complete an excellent hat-trick.
