Biographical Text

Dublin-born Millenic (Milli) Alli joined Exeter City from FC Halifax Town in January 2024 having previously been on the books of Bury, South Shields, Ashton United and Stockport County. Scoring a dozen times in the 2024/25 season - and known for his acrobatic goal celebrations - he moved to Luton Town in January 2025 for a reported fee of £1.5m.A youth player with Bury, Milli signed for South Shields in 2019 before returning to the Manchester area to appear for Ashton United during the COVID-interrupted 2020/21 season. Subsequently switching to Stockport County he was immediately loaned to Chorley and, without having made  a first-team appearance for his parent club, left to sign for National League FC Halifax Town in July 2022. Scoring eleven times in 37 competitive appearances for the West Yorkshire club during 2022/23 Milli, by then aged twenty-three, had added a further seven goals from 21 games at rhe time of signing for Exeter City in January 2024.

Arriving at St James' Park with an injury, Milli made a delayed debut as a late substitute at Peterborough United on 2 March 2024 and scored his first goal in the 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient in April 2024 before scoring twice in the 4-2 win at Port Vale in the following game and against Oxford United in the final game of the season.

Quickly adding to his tally in the new campaign with a goal against Walsall in the League Cup on 13 August, Milli had notched a dozen goals in all competitions by the end of January 2025 (including seven from the previous nine games in a period when City had won just twice). Playing his final game for the Grecians in the 2-6 home defeat to Leyton Orient on 28 January - when he scored both of City's goals in quick succession - Milli signed for Luton Town two days later for a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £1.5m.
