Ethan Slater was an academy player with both Torquay United and Exeter City.

Moving into adult football with Sidmouth Town and Bovey Tracey, Ethan signed for Exmouth Town in 2021 and was part of the squad that won promotion from the Western Lleague to the Southern League. He was still with the club in 2023/24.
