Biographical Text

Nathan Wigg, a defender/midfielder, played a couple of reserve games for Exeter City as a trialist prior to leaving Cardiff City in 1996.

Starting as a youth player with Cwmbran Town, Nathan joined Cardiff City and made his league debut as an eighteen-year-old in August 1993. Going on to make 58 league appearances for the Bluebirds before being released in 1996, he endeavoured to remain in the professional game by coming to St James' Park on trial. With nothing forthcoming from his time with the Grecians, he signed for Merthyr Tydfil ahead of a spell in Ireland with Dundalk then managed by former Cardiff boss Eddie May. Soon returning to the South Wales area, he had stimts with Ebbw Vale, Forest Green Rovers, Gloucester City, Cwmbran Town, Port Talbot and Llanelli before finishing his career with Risca United in 2008.
