Andy Catley had a brief trial with Exeter City around the time of his release from Southampton.
Hailing from the North Somerset area, Andy was a trainee with Southampton during the mid-1990s. With there being no prospect of a professional contract, he unsuccessfully tried his luck with Exeter City before returning to his home area to play for Welton Rovers.
Stepping back up the leagues, he soon moved to Forest Green Rovers before switching to Chippenham Town. Later joining Paulton Rovers in 2001, Andy was also to turn out in the colours of Welton Rovers (for a second time) and Corsham Town ahead of becoming involved with Chilcompton Sports of the Somerset County League.
