Leslie Deacon was an Exeter City reserve team player from St Luke's College who later appeared for Plymouth Argyle in the Football League.
A trainee teacher at St Luke's College, he played for Exeter City reserves in a Western League fixture againat Abertillery on 22 January 1921. Continued to play for the club until taking up a teaching position in Plymouth.
Registering with Plymouth Argyle as an amateur, he enjoyed a seven-year association with the Pilgrims and made five appearances in the Football League between 1922 and 1928. He also represented the Devon County team.
Leslie Claude Deacon died in Tavistock in 1982.
