1921 Gilmour
Biographical Text
With a number of reserve team players needed for that day's first-team fixture at Southampton, he was one of several local footballers called up for the Western League fixture against Bristol Rovers reserves on 9 April 1921 (another of which was Wilf Lowton who later became a professional with the club before a successful career with Wolverhampton Wanderers). Gilmour ordinarily played for the Royal Garrison Artillery at Topsham Barracks.
