FOOTBALL AGAIN AT ST. JAMES PARK
Two Good Cup Final Games

Many Soccer fans will welcome the chance of seeing the game played at St. James's Park. Exeter, once more.
There ought, therefore, to be good crowda at the "Football Express" Cup final tomorrow night and the East Devon Cup final on Whit-Monday morning.
Sidmouth and Old Haywardians, Crediton, have both reached the "Football Express final for the first time. These clubs have done well in League circles, and a good game should result. Kick-off 6 p.m. Referee, Mr. P. Higley; linesmen, Messrs, F. Evans and F. Evemy.
East Devon Cup finalists are St. Mark's and Southern Riy. 2 Exeter teams which have never yet won the trophy. Southern Riy, have, however, reached the final before, while St. Mark's earlier in the season ousted Friernhay (the holders). Referee, Mr. G. Conway; linesmen, Messrs. T. H. Venning and H. Woods.
These will be the first competitive matches to have taken place at St. James's since the war.
SIDMOUTH WINS "FOOTBALL EXPRESS” CUP.
Sidmouth became winners of the "Foot- ball Express" Cup for the first time when they defeated Old Haywardians. Crediton. by four goals to one at St James's Park Exeter, on Saturday. Sidmouth were heavier and too experienced for youthful and plucky opposition. Jasper was a thrustful leader of the Sidmouth attack. in which Courtney was a great and effective worker. Outstanding in the Old Haywardians ranks was Davey, in goal. But for his brilliant display, the score would have been heavier. Scorers were Jasper (2) and Perry (2) for Sidmouth, and Elston for Old Haywardians. Mr. P. Higley controlled the game.
The Cup was presented to the winning captain by Mr. L. Wotton, of the "Football Express" staff, who, with Mr. G. H. Channing. chairman of the competition, ex- tended congratulations to both teams
ST MARK'S WIN EAST DEVON CUP
St Mark's won the East Devon Senior Cup on Saturday, when they defeated Southern Railway by the only goal at St. James's Park
The goal came in the first half from a free kick just outside the penalty area, F. Causley scoring with a beautiful shot. Southern Railway had quite as much of the game as their opponents, bu but were weak in front of goal.
Feature of the match was the strong St Marks defence, in which Andrews and Dunne excelled.
The cup was presented to the winning captain by Mr. G. H. Channing (chairman of the East Devon and "Football Express Cups Committee).
Directors of Exeter City held another meeting this week and considered a number of matters concerning future activities, There were no important developments, I am given to understand.
