Le Milliere, Neil

Neil Le Milliere enjoyed a long stint as a trustee of the Exeter City Supporters' Trust whilst following the Grecians all over the country from his home in London. He also served on the national council of the Football Supporters' Association through which he gained a wide-reputation for his knowledge of matters relating to supporter governance

Born in Exeter in 1953, Neil spent much of his working life in London and was employed in the public sector for over thirty-five years. Settling in Tottenham, he was a long-time organiser of travel for City supporters living in the South East, administrator of the GNet email group and City's representative on the Association of Provincial Clubs' Supporters in London (for whom he was variously secretary and travel secretary).  Neil also, somewhat notably, married his wife Julie on the pitch at St James' Park.

In 2000 he was one of the small group of supporters who formed what became the Exeter City Supporters' Trust and was an early advocate and enthusiast for supporter ownership and fan representation throughout football. Also volunteering to work from the start at the St James' Centre bar, he became an elected member of the trust's Board of Society taking a particular interest in representing the wishes of 'exiled supporters'.

A member of the ownership working group, and invariably known as the 'resident constitutional expert’ on matters relating to supporter representation, Neil also served on the Football Supporters' Association's national council and as an elected representative on the Community-owned Club Network. These roles often saw him scrutinising elections and decision-making at other clubs alongside providing advice and guidance.

After the end of his working life Neil devoted much of his non-football time to charity work and acting as the Kent representative on the Table Tennis England national council.
