Geller, Daniel
Biographical Text
Daniel Geller, son of Uri Geller the illusionist, was involved with Exeter City alongside his father when the club was in the control of John Lewis and Mike Russell.
Then aged in his early ‘twenties, it had previously emerged that Daniel Geller was an Exeter City supporter when he was still at school. That had resulted in a degree of publicity at the time and his father’s alleged efforts at planting energy-infused crystals behind the goals to help the team. Noting this as a possible way of raising the club’s profile, and bringing in funds, Lewis and Russell invited the Gellers to become associated with the club.
Daniel Geller was described as ‘non-executive vice chairman’ but it soon emerged that he was never registered as a director of the club. Shortly after this came to light the Gellers had a series of disagreements with Lewis and Russell before terminating their association with the club.
Daniel Geller later became a lawyer.
