Athena, real name Rachel Wherry, was an Exeter City mascot in the early 2000s.

Often appearing alongside Alex the Greek, her male counterpart, Athena - a sometimes controversial figure - was also known as the ‘Goddess of the City”. An Express and Echo report in 2004 suggested that she moved to London to work as a model after giving up her role at St James’ Park.
