French-born Tristan Crama joined Exeter City on loan from Brentford in July 2024. Starting his career with AS Béziers, he had also played on loan with Bristol Rovers.
Working his way through the AS Béziers youth system from the age of eleven, Tristan played for the club’s second team at the age of eighteen prior to signing professionally in March 2020. After soon making his first-team debut in the third tier of French football, he signed for Brentford in August 2020 where he was taken under the wing of the club’s ‘B’ team. With his contract later extended through to the end of 2024/25, he was an unused substitute for Brentford’s first-team on a number of occasions whilst also gaining experience on loan with Bristol Rovers (27 league appearances) during the 2023/24 campaign.
Returning to Brentford ahead of the final year of his contact, and now aged twenty-two, central-defender Tristan arrived at St James’ Park on a season long loan on the final day of July 2024. Soon starting the new season in the team, he was one of six players making a first league start for City in the 1-0 win over Rotherham United on 10 August 2024. Starting again the following week, he scored his first goal for the club in the defeat at Northampton Town.
