Marks, Richard
Richard was the Audio Visual Officer at the club from 2012 to 2014.
Born in Exeter in 1988, Richard grew up in Exmouth and was a football player & fan from birth. He supported Manchester United from 1995-1999 until he discovered Exeter City in 1999. His first match was Exeter City 2-1 Hartlepool United (featuring Peter Beardsley) on February 20th 1999 and he never looked back becoming a Grecian for life.
Richard would regularly attend matches with his father, Peter, until he had his own expendable income from 2005 when he was able to become a regular season ticket holder. During the 2007-08 season, Richard attended all 55 competitive matches, both home and away, culminating with Exeter winning promotion back to the Football League at Wembley Stadium against Cambridge United 1-0.
Richard moved to High Wycombe in 2009 and found work with both Wycombe Wanderers and Reading FC as a camera operator from 2010 until 2012. It was during this time that Reading FC reached the Championship Play-Off Final in a losing effort to Swansea City 4-2 before winning the league in the following season as Champions and returning to the Premier League.
Richard would return to Exmouth in 2012 and would find work at Exeter City as the club's Audio Visual Officer positioned underneath the Media Manager. Richard would spend two seasons working for the Grecians creating video content for the club's video on demand service Grecian Player. Richard was the runner up in the Football Association Awards 2012-13 for Football League's Player Incentive Scheme only missing out on the top prize to Burton Albion. He was also had a part in launching of Exeter City's Official YouTube Channel in 2014 which is still going strong today.
Richard was supposed to be part club's of the historic trip to Brazil in 2014 however a job opportunity to work in Australia beckoned and he left England permanently in April 2014. This Australian job opportunity opened up a pathway for him to live his dream to live and work in New Zealand where Richard has remained ever since.
