Gribble, Chad

Born in Exeter, Chad Gribble was a youth player for his hometown club Exeter City before playing in the non-league. After being a community officer at Tiverton Town, his coaching career began at with the Grecians in July 2010. Progressing through the age ranks as Foundation Phase Lead Coach and Youth Development Phase Lead Coach, Gribble became Exeter’s Under-18 Head Coach in August 2018.

Spending just under 12 years with the Grecians, the 34-year-old moved to Doncaster Rovers as Head of Professional Development in April 2022. Becoming the assistant head coach of the Doncaster first team in November 2022, Gribble has got his UEFA A licence and has received the Advanced Youth Award PDP.

Hull City Academy were delighted to announce that Chad Gribble has joined the coaching staff as a Professional Development Phase Coach.

Gribble will take charge of the Under-18s squad alongside Billy Clarke for the upcoming 2023/24 Professional Development League campaign.

In August 2024 Hull City academy confirmed that PDP Coach Chad Gribble left the club to take up a role at Manchester City Women's side. He had experience of working in women's football at Exeter City.
